Westag AG wanted to present their new interior design collection in a novel way.
The installation is based in the company showroom, where architects and future customers can explore the new collection of interior patterns and materials. The user places a selection of material samples on an RFID table. Those physical objects are than digitally transformed onto a screen, where a realtime-visualization is being played. A seperate touch screen enables the user to apply a variety of effects. If the user is happy with the result, they can choose to receive a video snippet of their most favorite material samples. But just watch the video, I shutup now.
Grosse 8 did the concept, software development and creative development. As part of the Grosse 8 team, my task was the implementation of the real time visualization with Unreal Engine 4. Other involved stakeholders were Republic Of Yes, DIIIP and MAKERY.
